Why has Vitality Central West been established? 

Vitality Central West has been established to provide specialist care for cancer survivors and their support persons in our community. Cancer survivorship care has been shown to have a positive impact on the quality of life for those living with a current or past diagnosis of cancer, and their support persons. Cancer Survivorship care is readily available in metropolitan areas and Vitality Central West will address this gap in health care for our region.

How will Vitality Central West help cancer survivors and their support persons?

Vitality Central West is actively working towards opening the Wellness Centre – a dedicated space where anyone with a current or past diagnosis of cancer, and their support persons, can access a range of specialist practitioners and services. Vitality Central West is aiming to create a survivorship community hub, which will foster a network of support between cancer survivors, their families and health providers. We will provide access to a range of care that will promote and maintain physical, mental and emotional health and well-being, and support individuals as they live with, through and beyond cancer.

Where will Vitality Central West Cancer Survivorship and Wellness Centre be based?

Vitality Central West has secured a large suitable premises on a 60 acre property located at Brewongle, 20 minutes outside Bathurst, NSW. It provides all the physical space required and has a beautiful and relaxing environment. The incredible views from the property overlook the O’Connell and Tarana plains. We are proud to be supported by Bathurst Community Transport, who will be providing a regular service to and from Vitality Central West from central hubs within the region.
